Avery Fisher Hall is a concert hall in the Upper West Side of New York City. It was built in 1962 and was originally called Philharmonic Hall, as it is the home of the New York Philharmonic. It is part of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts complex. The hall was renamed after Avery Fisher, one of the board of directors of the Philharmonic, following his $10.5 million donation to the orchestra in 1973.
