The Children's Museum of Manhattan is a museum that was established in 1973 at 212 W 83rd St, in the Upper West Side, Manhattan, New York City.

The aim of the Children's Museum of Manhattan is for children to learn through discoveries. The museum was founded by Bette Korman and was originally called Growth Through Art and Museum Education, or GAME. At that time, funding for children programs in school was facing a cut back. A concerned group of artists and educators decided to set up programs that can educate children in a fun way. They set up a basement storefront for the benefit of children in Harlem and Upper West Side.

The present museum at the Upper West Side was occupied in the 1980's. The museum has also been able to expand its offerings, thanks to donation and grants from public institutions, corporations and private individuals.
