The Downtown Manhattan Heliport is a helicopter landing platform in Lower Manhattan. It is located at Pier 6 in the East River of Manhattan, New York. It is operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as a public helipad. In the 1960s and 70s, New York Airways provided scheduled services to the major airports in New York, a service discontinued following the bankruptcy of Pan Am in the mid 80s. Scheduled passenger services only resumed in 2006, with US Helicopter providing the services to John F Kennedy International Airport.

The Downtown Manhattan Heliport gets most of its business from the Wall Street and lower Manhattan financial district. It is used by top executives as well as for the delivery of time-sensitive documents. President George W Bush often uses it for visits to New York, and Michael Bloomberg, the present mayor of New York, uses it to fly to Bloomberg LP and John Hopkins University, both institutions where he acts as chairman.
