El Dorado is a small city in Union County, on the southern border of Arkansas. It covers 42.2 sq km (16.4 sq mi) and has a population of 19,000 (2011 estimate). The city about 100 mi (160 km ) from Little Rock. It observes the Central Standard Time, which is six hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-6), and five hours behind during Daylight Saving Time in summer. The phone area code here is 870.
