The First Presbyterian Church is a church building along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. It was built in the Gothic style in 1846. The design was based on the Church of St Saviour in Bath, England.
Inside the First Presbyterian Church look for the wooden plaque where the names of all the pastors serving there since 1716 are carved.
To know more about the church, you can visit the First Presbyterian Church website at www.fpcnyc.com. Note: it is a different church from the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, which is located at West 55th Street.
How to reach the First Presbyterian Church
Take the L, N, Q, R or W train to the Union Square/14th Street subway station. Walk west along E 14th Street until intersection with Fifth Avenue, then turn left and walk south along Fifth Avenue until you reach the intersection with W 12th Street. The First Presbyterian Church is on the right side of Fifth Avenue after the intersection.Return to Greenwich Village
