More than being an infrastructure for commuters, Grand Central Terminal has become a tourist attraction in its own right. The present building was completed in 1913 in the Beaux Arts architectural style. The main concourse has three gigantic arched windows to let in natural light. The high vaulted ceiling is decorated with twinkling constellations. On top of the information booth is a 4-face clock to let commuters know the time. Its grand staircase was modelled after the one at the Paris Opera House.

Commuters as well as tourists to the Grand Central Terminal can visit its museum as well as over 40 shops. It has a food court and the famous Oyster Bar.
