The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum is a military and maritime museum on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, which is docked at Pier 86, on the west end of West 46th Street, in Manhattan, New York City.
Visitors to this unique museum also gets to see the Concorde supersonic aircraft and the USS Growler submarine as well as the Lockheed A-12 supersonic reconnaissance plane. Various halls at the museum shows, the super-carriers of today and the rockets of the future.

The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum was closed from 2006 until 8 November, 2008 so that the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid could undergo renovations.
How to reach the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum
You can take bus M16, M42 and M50 to get there. Otherwise, it is a moderate walking distance from the nearest subway station. You can take the A, C or E train to the 42nd Street / Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station. From there, walk north along Eighth Avenue until intersection with West 46th Street. Turn left and walk west along West 46th Street to the very end, and you will see Pier 86 with the museum in front of you.
