The Jacob K Javits Convention Center is a modern glass building complex on the western side of Manhattan, near the bank of the Hudson River, in New York City. The 18-storey building was designed by famous Chinese-American architect, I.M. Pei, and employed the use of 16,000 panels of glass. Its lobby, which faces 11th Avenue, is so big that the Statue of Liberty can fit inside.

The Jacob K Javits Conventer Center, often called simply the Javits Center, was named after a former US Senator from New York whose name also appears on another building in New York City, the Jacob K Javits Federal Building. The construction of this building provided space for New York City to host large-scale expos and conventions.

How to reach the Jacob K Javits Convention Center

There aren't any subway stations that I can consider to be nearby. Anyway, if you depend on the subway, then take the 1, 2 or 3 trains to the 34th Street / Penn Station subway station. Walk west on W 34th Street for 3 city blocks until you reach the intersection with 11th Avenue. The convention center is on the right side of W 34th Street, on the left side of 11th Avenue.
