Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is a historic site in Big Horn County, Montana. It preserves the site of the Battle of the Little Big Horn, which took place on 25 June, 1876. This was the warfare fought between the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army under George Armstrong Custer, and the combined forces of the Lakota-Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho Native American peoples.

Three miles from the main site of the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is the site of a similar battle, led by Marcus Reno and Frederick Benteen against the Native Americans. The sites are together declared a national monument on 29 January, 1879. They protect the graves of the 7th Cavalry troopers who were buried there.

Within the site are white stones marking the graves of the US troops, and red speckled granite stones marking those of the Native American warriors. Among the warriors who fought to defend the Native American way of life was Crazy Horse (literal translation of his Lakota name, Thasunke Witko).
