Lyceum Theatre is a Broadway theatre in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It is located at 149 West 45th Street.

Lyceum Theatre hold the distinction for being the oldest Broadway theatre, the oldest continuously operating theatre in New York City, and the first Broadway theatre to be listed as a national landmark (in 1974). Although it is one of the smallest Broadway theatre by capacity, seating only 950, it is one of the few theatres in New York to still be operating under its original name.

Lyceum Theatre was designed by architects Herts & Tallant. It opened on 2 November, 1903 with the play The Proud Prince. Today Lyceum Theatre still maintains its Beaux-Arts design, including its marble staircase and undulating marquee.

How to reach Lyceum Theatre

Take the B, D, F or V train to the 47th Street / Rockefeller Center subway station. Walk south along Sixth Avenue until intersection with West 45th Street. Turn right and walk along West 45th Street until you see Lyceum Theatre on your right.
