Manhattan Municipal Building, New York City
Manhattan Municipal Building is a government building in Lower Manhattan, New York City. It is located at 1 Centre Street. The building is 40 stories tall. It was built from 1907 to 1914, and is a short walking distance from City Hall. The construction of the Manhattan Municipal Building marks the end of the City Beautiful movement.
The Manhattan Municipal Building is the first building to have a New York City subway station incorporated into its base. The building was designed by William M Kendall from the architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White. It stands at 580 ft (177 m) in height, making it one of the tallest and biggest governmental buildings in the world.
The Manhattan Municipal Building was designated a New York City landmark in 1966, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Take the J or Z train to the Chambers Street Subway Station or the 4, 5, 6 or 6X train to the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Subway Station.
