Mount Vernon Hotel Museum is a museum in New York City. It is located on the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan. Its history goes back to 1799, when it was a country day hotel for New Yorkers escaping the crowded city, which at that time only covered the south end of the island. It sits on land owned by the daughter of President John Adams, Abigail Adams Smith. Hence until 2000 it was known as the Abigail Adams Smith Museum.

Mount Vernon Hotel Museum was acquired by the Colonial Dames of America in 1924. Today costumed guides show visitors around the museum which is furnished with period items such as Chinese porcelain, Aubusson carpets, Sheraton chests and Duncan Phyfe sofa.
