 Museum of the City of New York
Museum of the City of New York is one of the museums along the Museum Mile of Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York City.
The Museum of the City of New York was founded in 1923 with the purpose of showcasing the history of New York City and its people. In the beginning it was housed in Gracie Mansion. It moved to its present location in 1932. The premises is a Georgian colonial building.

The museum houses exhibits covering fashion, architecture, theater and more. It has within its collection the famous Stettheimer Dollhouse as well as recreated rooms from the home of John D. Rockefeller.
How to reach the Museum of the City of New York
The museum is located at 1220 Fifth Avenue at East 103rd Street. Take the 6 train to the 103rd Street subway station. Walk north along Lexington Avenue until intersection with East 104th Street. Turn left, walk west along East 104 Street until junction with Fifth Avenue. Turn left and walk south along Fifth Avenue until you see the Museum of the City of New York on your left overlooking Central Park.
