Narragansett is a town in Washington County, on the southeastern coast of mainland Rhode Island. It covers 37.8 sq mi (97.8 sq km), two thirds of which is water. Narragansett has a population of 16,000 people (2011 estimate). The land area comprises the strip between the Pettaquamscutt River and Narragansett Bay.
