New Jersey is a state of the United States of America regarded as being located in both the Northeastern region and the Middle Atlantic region. It covers an area of 8,721 sq mi (22,608 sq km) and ranks 47th in size among the 50 states. New Jersey measures 70 miles (110 km) east to west and 150 miles (240 km) north to south. The highest natural point in New Jersey is High Point, at 1,803 feet (550 meters).
