St Bartholomew's Church , which is popularly known as St Bart's, is an Episcopal Church in the Upper Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It is housed in a Byzantine structure of pinkish brick with ornate details. The church, located at 109 East 50th Street, has an open terrace and a polychromed gold dome.
St Bartholomew's Church was built in 1919. The original design was done by Bertram Goodhue. The design had to be modified so as to accommodate the French Romaneque entrance portico brought over from the previous church which was on Madison Avenue. The entrance portico were paid for by the family of Cornelius Vanderbilt II, and was designed by Stanford White of the firm of McKim, Mead and White in 1902-03.

St Bartholomew's Church is well known for its concert programs and its theater group. Three productions are mounted every year.
How to reach St Bartholomew's Church
St Bart's is located at the corner of East 50th Street and Park Avenue. Take the 6 train to the 51st Street subway station. Walk west along East 51st Street until intersection with Park Avenue.
