Unlike Lower Manhattan and Midtown Manhattan, Upper Manhattan may appear to be less urban. There are fewer skyscrapers in the part of the island, and fewer tourist attractions as well. The lower part of Upper Manhattan is generally more affluent than the upper portion - Upper West Side and Upper East Side are both wealthier neighborhoods respectively compared to neighborhoods north of them such as Spanish Harlem, Manhattanville, and Morningside Heights.
