Virgin Islands National Park is a national park in the US Virgin Islands. The park protects specific areas covering some 60% of the island of Saint John, as well as a few isolated areas on neighboring island of Saint Thomas. In total, the Virgin Islands National Park covers 14,689 acres (59 sq km).

Virgin Islands National Park has a variety of attractions. For those looking for pristine beaches, it has a clean, white sand beach at Trunk Bay. Nevertheless coral bleaching is noted in its reef.

The national park on the island of Saint John has some ruins of former sugar plantation. There are hiking trails, including one to the top of the highest point on Bourdeaux Mountain, at 1,277 ft (389 m). From the top, one gets a panoramic view of the island and the surrounding seas.

Visiting Virgin Islands National Park, US Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands National Park is open all year round. Its visitor center (phone 340-776-6201 ext 238) at Cruz Bay is open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. It is a short walk from the public ferry dock.

There are entrance fees to the Virgin Island National Park. However there is a user fee of $4 per person for visitors aged above 16.
