Wisconsin is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States of America. It is located on the north-central part of the country. Wisconsin covers an area of 65,498 sq mi (169,639 sq km), making it the 23rd largest state of the 50 in the country. It measures 310 miles (500 km) from north to south and 260 miles (420 km) from east to west.

If you are coming from overseas, you may find it easier to reach Wisconsin through one of the major international airports in a neighboring state, such as O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago. By Train
Amtrak has a service from Chicago to Milwaukee called the Hiawatha. The Empire Builder service running from Chicago to Seattle also passes through Wisconsin, stopping in Milwaukee, Columbus, Portage, Wisconsin Dells, among others.

By Road
I-39 is the interstate highway that enters Wisconsin from the south while I-90 enters from the west. Milwaukee is connected to Chicago on I-94.
