Wyoming is a state in the Western region of the United States of America. The western two thirds of the state is covered by the Eastern Rocky Mountains whereas the eastern third by the prairie of the High Plains. Wyoming is 97,814 sq mi (253,348 sq km) in size. It measures 360 miles (581 km) from east to west and 280 miles (450 km) from north to south.

Wyoming is bordered by Montana to the north, South Dakota to the northeast, Nebraska to the southeast, Colorado to the south, Utah to the southwest and Idaho to the west. The highest point in the state is the 13,809-foot (4,210-meter) Gannett Peak.

The busiest airport in Wyoming is the Jackson Hole Airport (JAC). Located inside the Grand Teton National Park, it is one of only two airports in the United States to be located within a national park, the other being the Provincetown Municipal Airport in Massachusetts.
